Job Details - Location: Columbus, Ohio 43207 - Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC / Long-Term Acute Care Nurse - Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse) - Shift: Night Shift – 12-hour shifts - Hours per Week: 36 - Contract Duration: 13 weeks - Start Date: March 30, 2026 - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,730–$1,820 Required Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (required) - BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) - ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) - Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years highly desired) - Experience in LTAC, sub-acute, surgical, or pediatric settings is a plus Responsibilities - Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission - Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams - Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation - Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner - Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching beginning at admission - Communicate changes in patient status to physicians and charge nurses to ensure continuity of care - Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees - Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital policies and procedures - Participate in team building and contribute positively to the unit environment - Assume charge responsibilities as requested following orientation - Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education Why this travel nursing job: Ideal for RNs seeking LTAC experience, night shift positions, and travel nurse opportunities in Columbus, OH.
