Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Louisville, KY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,068 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/5/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 13.5 hours (645 AM - 715 PM) Experience: 2 years of acute care RN experience License: Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong assessment skills, sound independent decision-making, plan of care development, collaboration Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. The RN assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff. Job Responsibilities: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care. Reviews and revises the care plan as indicated. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services. Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient, and family. Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions. Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates patient and family education specific to needs. Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. Functions as a mentor/preceptor. Demonstrates and encourages teamwork. Identifies and appropriately communicates opportunities for improvement. Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts. Implements practice changes and complies with regulatory standards. Participates in the practice governance model.
