training that combines the two? The Health Outcomes Post-Doctoral
program in Lilly’s HEOR Oncology team within Medical Affairs will
develop your scientific expertise to create health outcomes
research for patients, payers and providers. Projects will focus on
disease states of interest to Lilly or treatments that Lilly is
developing and may span the entire lifecycle of clinical
development and drug commercialization. You will work with
experienced health outcomes scientists to develop research
strategies, so patients, payers, and healthcare providers
understand when and how to use the medicines and the expected
patient benefits. Responsibilities include the conduct, quality,
and integrity of health outcomes studies. Through your work on
these studies, you will demonstrate understanding of clinical,
economic, and/or patient reported outcomes methodologies. You will
communicate study findings to internal audiences and take a
leadership role in the dissemination to the scientific community.
The candidate will also work extensively with therapeutic area
medical and commercial teams and HEOR colleagues. Key objectives
and deliverables: To support the Lilly portfolio (Cardiometabolic
health, Oncology, Immunology, Pain/Neuroscience). This role sits
within oncology, but crossfunctional exposure is possible dependent
on candidate’s interests. To increase and develop knowledge and use
of: Real world evidence (RWE) such as retrospective and/or
prospective observational studies Patient focused outcomes (PFO)
such as those used in randomized clinical trials Economic modeling
and potentially participate in health technology assessment
submissions Assist in develop different types (RWE, PFO, economic)
of research studies for publication. Increase or develop knowledge
of health care systems in applicable geographies across the globe.
Increase or develop understanding of and experience with clinical
trials research. Increase or develop skills in Environmental
Awareness, Strategy, Study Development, Project Management,
Organizational Leadership Basic Qualifications: An advanced degree,
including Masters, Ph.D. or MD degree in an appropriate discipline
(e.g., economics, epidemiology, health services, pharmacoeconomics,
psychology, statistics, or other relevant sciences). Qualified

permanent. It is for a fixed duration of 2 years. The candidate may
rotate through multiple therapeutic areas (Diabetes, Oncology,
Immunology, Pain/Neuroscience). Strong communication and
interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a
team-oriented/cross-functional environment. Some domestic travel is
anticipated. Technical and analytic capabilities in one or more
areas of economic modeling, economic evaluation, cost-effectiveness
evaluation, burden of disease, epidemiology, statistics, health
care policy etc. The ability to influence individuals. Demonstrated

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $58,000 -
$123,200 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit
