MANAGER POSITION LOCATED IN POWELL, OHIO GFS Chemicals is a family

have “Chemistry”! We are currently seeking an experienced Business
Development Manager to join our GFS Chemicals Family. The Business
Development Manager will be responsible for using their talents,
experiences, and knowledge of the chemical/industrial industry to
develop, drive, and improve current and future sales to meet or
exceed the company goals. This business development role will focus
on B2B solutions for OEMs, specifically, and laboratory chemical
industry customers, in general, that require unique products
utilizing the wide-ranging product offerings and
manufacturing/sourcing capabilities of GFS Chemicals. This
individual will collaborate with customers to match their needs
with GFS’ capabilities to develop value-added results.
Requirements: BA/BS degree from an accredited university,
preferable with some chemistry background. 4 – 5 years of previous
sales and business development experience in an industrial field –
chemicals preferred. Previous experience utilizing ERP systems such
as Dynamics 365. Ability to utilize Hubspot CRM to manage
priorities and pipeline. Excellent analytical skills with
demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights.
Effective verbal and written communicator, able to communicate with
a variety of audiences and management levels and translate business
requirements into web requirements. Ability to lead other sales or
customer service personnel. Understanding of financials such as
income statements and the relationship of it to product costs and
pricing. Capable of communicating with customers. Develop and
nurture a network of peers, customers, potential customers and
suppliers as a source for potential projects. Effectively manage
and execute numerous projects simultaneously with minimal
supervision. High degree of organization, accuracy, and exceptional
attention to detail. Ability to lead by example and set high
standards of creative thinking to drive the business to new levels.
Knowledgeable of the buying habits across the environmental,
industrial, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and governmental sectors.
High level of integrity, work ethic, professionalism, and ability
to manage confidential Information appropriately. Proficient use of
and experience with Microsoft Office products; SharePoint
experience is preferred. Excellent phone voice and ability to
obtain information quickly over the phone. Proficient with the
English language (ability to read, write, and speak English
fluently). Responsibilities: Develop and manage the OEM and custom
solutions pipeline and strategies to meet annual sales goals.
Identify and help to develop strategic relationships with customers
and potential customers. Work in conjunction with sales management
and product management teams providing proposals and implementing
sales strategies. Responsible for reporting and forecasting sales
information to senior leadership. Primary decision maker for
pricing and quoting projects. Propose technical solutions based
around customer need and expectations, collaborate with the GFS
production and QC teams to ensure all aspects of the project are
understood and executed. Take charge of organizing and delivering
presentations at customer visits and trade show conferences where
GFS has secured a booth and/or scheduled customer meetings.
Complete pro-forma evaluations to determine projected financial
impact for projects/opportunities. Other duties as assigned.
