The Maintenance Technician will oversee the maintenance and provide daily hands on working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support existing business processes for Howden American Fan. They will perform and assist with the daily preventative maintenance activities, and assure that these tasks are performed correctly. The Maintenance Technician will schedule and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities of all the production equipment and the facility.

What needs to be done?

• Provide daily hands on working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support existing business processes for Howden American Fan.
• Support and follow company safety programs and quality environmental programs.
• Coordinates equipment shutdown for major maintenance.
• Troubleshoots maintenance problems and determines when to call for outside repairs.
• Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and make necessary repairs on plant equipment.
• Follow prints, sketches and schematics to assist in the installation of newer, rebuilt equipment.
• Assist in the tear down and overhaul of equipment components such as, but not limited to: pumps, valves, regulators, and motors.
• Complete required reports and other documentation on assigned work and/or inspections.
• Exercise understanding of mechanical components and how they work in conjunction with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic.
• Adhere to HAF standardized processes and procedures and maintain reports as required.
• Maintain highest ethical behavior while following HAF procedures, policies, work instructions and safety guidelines.
• All other work deemed necessary by supervisor.
  
  What do I need to bring?
  
  • High School Diploma
  • 7 to 10 years maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing facility
  • Excellent working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Must be a self-starter who works with minimal supervision and is able to direct others.
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Must have a good understanding of what is required to support the production function in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Must be well-organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must possess a high-energy personality and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products- Word, Excel
