The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' IT department is currently
seeking a client system administrator to configure, administer and
support centralized computer management systems.
Job Summary:
The Client System Administrator role has the overall control of
client endpoints (Desktops/ Laptops/ Tablets/ VDI). Their role is
to design, install, administer and optimize company endpoints and
related components to achieve high performance. This includes
ensuring the availability of client/ applications,
installation/configuration of endpoint operating
systems/patches/software; manage endpoint security policies and
developing processes/procedures for ongoing management of the
endpoint environment. Install, administer, and support the
application/system environments used to manage the client endpoint
infrastructure. Associates in this role support the client endpoint
Infrastructure, both from a hardware and software perspective. This
role is responsible for the building and maintenance of all client
hardware and operating systems.
Salary Range: Starting salaries between $45,000 - $73,000 based on
experience
Be Ready To:
* support Application Virtualization
* participate actively in team discussions about processes and
procedures
* Microsoft InTune and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager /
SCCM administration
* handle end-user requests and troubleshoot issues with hardware,
software, OS and networking associated with the Endpoint Manager
and desktop environments
* configure and maintain Windows System, both physical and
virtual
* build and maintain VMware View environment, Virtual Desktop,
including troubleshooting and performance tuning
* be available for on-call duties and after-hours support rotation
for DMT services
* complete patch management, application deployment and system
administration of enterprise software for configuration
compliance
* the ability to work in a team environment with aggressive
deadlines and multiple priorities
* manage Active Directory Group Policies
* work closely with Server, Network and Security Administrators to
achieve optimal configuration of all applications
* provide some server support assistance when needed
* engage and collaborate with IT organizations while
troubleshooting and resolving production incidents
* prioritize tasks and work independently on weekly objects with
minimal supervision
* manage incidents, work orders, tasks, change requests and lead
problem investigations
You've Earned:
* bachelor's degree in Business Computer Information Systems,
Management Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent
experience in computer science or related discipline
* Microsoft Certified Professional
* Microsoft A certification
* VMWare certified or strong working knowledge
Be Equipped With:
* the ability to demonstrate strong, methodical problem-solving and
troubleshooting capabilities
* the ability to work in a team environment, multitask and are
self-motivated
* perform in place upgrades
* Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager / SCCM and InTune
administration with advanced knowledge of software deployments,
scripting and automation, reporting and patch management
* familiar with toolsets including Admin Studio, Install Shield and
App Volumes
* maintain Windows Server 2019
* knowledge and understanding of desktop operating systems,
including registry, file and folder security, local and domain user
security, systems tools and remote support
* experience scripting with programs such as VBScript or
PowerShell
* knowledge of Active Directory including Group Policy, including
OU structures, policy creation, user and computer configurations
and security settings
* experience with TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP and VPN
* familiar with client security configurations, including browser,
application and OS settings
* experience and knowledge in Microsoft Management technologies,
including Endpoint Manager, OSD, Active Directory services, OU
structures, troubleshooting and enabling configuration management
with Group Policy Objects and Rights elevation and Permission
assignments
* solid understanding of standard client and server, networking and
Internet fundamentals
* experience providing support for Windows OS, as well as
application design and implementation
* knowledge of the following: InTune, MDT, VBScript, Perl,
PowerShell, repackaging applications, as well as virtualization of
OS and applications
* experience working with VMWare or other virtualization
products
* experience with cloud technologies support
* experience working with external support vendors
* good written and verbal communications skills
Preferred Skills:
* experience with datacenter management tools, including System
Center and HP SIM
* the ability to perform client health monitoring, such as Xperf,
event logs, process explorer, process monitor
* experience in the following: Windows Client Operating Systems,
such as Windows 10 and 11
* the ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
* experience with WMI, Windows registry, user profiles, OS
processes and services and networking
* knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems
* familiar with industry standard ticketing systems such as Remedy
and ServiceNow
* familiar with ITIL framework and Remedy Ticketing Systems
* experience with VMWare and Virtual Desktop Administration within
Horizon or previous Citrix Administration experience
* Application Lifecycle Management experience and user personas
* Application scripting, testing, packaging and deployment
experience within Microsoft Endpoint Manager or InTune
* Intune experience (2-3 years)
* Azure Active Directory and PowerShell experience is preferred
* Endpoint Privilege Management experience, configuration of
elevated permissions and administration
