Job Description:
The Resideo DC Operations Manager is responsible for leading,
directing, and managing Distribution Center shift operations to
ensure consistent, high-level service quality and customer
satisfaction, cost-efficient operations, compliance with company
policies and procedures, ISO standards, and Sarbanes Oxley
requirements, and other regulatory guidelines. This is a 1st Shift
position who will report directly to the DC General Manager. Job
Duties: Demonstrate leadership and commitment to Safety Culture,
Quality Policy, ISO Standard Processes, Customer Focus, and
Continuous Improvement best practices. Areas of responsibility
consist of, but are not limited to, shift Operations: Inbound,
Inventory, Returns, Refurbishment, and Outbound Shipments.
Financial responsibilities include shift labor planning and other
tasks. Performance tracking and reporting of KPIs – On-time
Receiving Schedule, On-time Shipping to Schedule (OTTR), Customer
Quality Issues, Labor goals, Inventory Accuracy. Plan and monitor
weekly/monthly/yearly staffing schedules and adjust accordingly to
ensure adequate staffing levels that support operational demands
and business objectives. Utilize superior communication skills to
motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with
peers, Executives, and customers. Manage and oversee administrative
functions to ensure all paperwork is processed efficiently and on
time and meets all compliance requirements. Set and Improve
Performance standards for salaried associates and their direct
reports. Coach, train, and mentor direct reports and provide career
development opportunities through continuous improvement objectives
and quality management activities. Conduct annual performance
reviews for all department staff and address all employee
performance problems promptly and directly per personnel policies
and procedures. Understand customer business rules and expectations
to solve complex customer supply chain challenges. Quickly resolve
any operational issues to eliminate production loss or
transportation service failures and proactively communicate with
customers Implement process improvement projects and identify other
areas for improvement. Leading training programs and certification
processes as needed. Recommending methods, processes, and systems
for maximum utilization of facilities, materials, employees, and
other assets. Managing projects to support the execution of capital
budget expenditures and/or lead segments of the projects. Providing
support to other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Must be able
to work in a warehouse environment, loud noise and wear proper PPE
Able to lift, push, carry, and pull up to 50lbs Ability to meet
physical requirements, including a variety of standing, sitting,
and walking through the warehouse May include Overtime and
off-hours work depending on Peak Season, Customer escalations and
Operations issues You Must Have: 8 years of related experience in
Logistics, Manufacturing, or Distribution Center settings with
experience in project management, Lean Six Sigma, and Process Flow
Proven experience in a supervision/managerial role Professional
experience leading continuous improvement cross-functional
teams/projects SAP inventory management/warehouse management
experience We Value: Proficient knowledge of logistic process flows
and ability to identify and correct bottlenecks/constraints in a
fast-paced logistics environment Accountable, reliable,
self-directed, analytical, disciplined, hands-on, and has strong
interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such
as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, ISO
standards, and procedure manuals. Ability to develop, implement,
and analyze reporting Metrics, Productivity Reporting, as well as
analyze failure and problem resolution. Superior analytical and
process improvement skills Strong PC skills, including Windows,
Office Suite, and SAP applications Excellent verbal, written, and
technical communication skills with the ability to effectively
communicate through all levels of the organization Think
independently and handle multiple projects through to completion
Excellent collaboration and influence with management and cross
function teams Independent work initiative, sound judgment,
diplomacy, analytical ability and professional demeanor Ability to
