Operator, reporting to the Shift Supervisor, is responsible for
adhering to all policies and procedures related to the parts and
equipment they operate. Their tasks include loading and unloading
parts, inspecting them with various precision measuring tools, and
making decisions to accept or reject parts. Additionally, operators
must communicate any changes verbally and in writing
effectively.--Essential Tasks:Selects, aligns, and secures
fixtures, wire, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine
parts as required.Load and edit CNC programs as requiredUtilizes
knowledge of rotary/linear axes and using G and M
codesProgramming/operating/maintaining Wire EDM utilizing knowledge
of working properties and processes for a variety of
materialsDevelop/implement process recommendations for improved
efficiency to optimize the programs and processes, resulting in
defect-free parts--Verifies conformance of finished workpieces to
customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and
equipment, as necessary.Document actions by updating control
charts, travelers, and ERP labor reportingClean the work tank,
table, and wire path pulleys dailyAnalyze and interpret Op sheets,
blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products
that meet or exceed customer specificationsMaintains continuity
among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions,
irregularities, and continuing needsAccomplishes organization goals
by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
and exploring opportunities to add value to job
accomplishmentFollow all Hi-Tex policies and procedures, including
proper PPEMaintains a safe and clean work environment by performing
daily housekeeping duties--Education and Experience:High school
diploma or GED requiredWire EDM experience is required- a minimum
of 3 years preferredTool and Die Blueprint reading experience
preferredUnderstanding the different wire types, sizes, and
operating parameters for best machine optimizationProficient
knowledge and ability to perform manual G code programming edits to
improve the processSolid grasp of high school level mathematics
necessaryExperience with Mitsubishi controls preferred--Experience
with Esprit Cam and or Siemens, NX software - Minimum 3 years
preferredMust meet the ITAR definition of --120.15 U.S.
personExperience in an industrial/manufacturing environment,
aerospace industry preferredKey Competencies:The ability to work

20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required with the ability to
pass annual vision test as requiredShift: Monday through Friday
from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. This hourly position has a generous
