Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Columbus, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,251 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in cardiac ICU preferred License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred - Epic experience required - Required skills: IV start, telemetry, ventilators, Swan Ganz, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, PA lines Description: The role involves caring for patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. Weekdays and some weekends may be required. Rotating holidays are part of the schedule. Floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity may be required. The expected patient ratio is 1:1-2. Candidates must have experience with ECMO and IABP. Nurse-driven ECMO protocols and post-cardiac surgery experience are essential. Experience in managing pre/post cardiac catheterization/intervention is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with transcatheter aortic valve replacement and ventricular assist devices. Management of patients with chronic and acute renal failure is required. Experience with CRRT and nursing protocols for IV sedation is essential. Candidates must be skilled in obtaining 12 lead EKGs. Management of patients post-CABG, valve repair/replacement, and pulmonary artery line monitoring is needed. Central venous pressure monitoring and blood product administration are part of the responsibilities. Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, and phlebotomy is required. Preparation for sudden changes in patient status and rapid response may be necessary. Interdisciplinary support includes therapy services and pharmacy. The ICU cares for patients with various cardiovascular diagnoses and post-operative needs. Familiarity with equipment such as ventilators, chest tubes, and temporary pacemakers is necessary. Candidates must comply with credentialing processes promptly. Reference requirements include two professional references, one from a managerial or supervisory position.
