Job Description:
The Delta Companies, a premier healthcare staffing organization
based in Texas, is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled
Geriatric Medicine Physician to join our growing network. As a part
of our dedicated team, you will provide specialized medical care
and attention to elderly patients, focusing on the prevention,
diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and disabilities in older
adults. This position offers the opportunity to work within our
diverse and dynamic healthcare team, contributing to the well-being
and quality of life of our patients while engaging in meaningful
work. Perform comprehensive and problem-focused history and
physical examinations for geriatric patients. Develop and implement
treatment plans tailored to complex health issues common in elderly
individuals. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to
provide multidisciplinary care. Monitor ongoing therapy and modify
regimens as necessary. Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications,
preventive care, and health maintenance. Participate in patient and
family education regarding geriatric health issues. Strong clinical
skills in geriatric assessment and care management. Ability to
build rapport with elderly patients and their families. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in electronic
medical record (EMR) systems. Knowledge of pharmaceutical
treatments commonly used in elderly care. Board Certified/Board
Eligible in Geriatric Medicine. Valid state medical license.
Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine is highly preferred.
