Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: Louisville, KY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,113 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/8/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 2x10s and 2x8s per week for 36 total hours (6:30 am to 5:00 pm and 6:30 am to 3:00 pm) Experience: Two years of acute care RN experience License: Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Patient assessment - Independent decision-making - Care plan development - Care plan implementation - Care plan evaluation - Patient education - Task delegation - Mentoring - Precepting - Teamwork - Quality improvement - Regulatory compliance - Practice governance Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care. Customer satisfaction and quality outcomes are essential components of this role. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. Supervision of licensed and non-licensed staff members is a key responsibility. Applying the caring processes, the RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. This role involves applying educational and professional experiences in delivering quality care and mentoring/precepting staff. Key responsibilities include: - Performing assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition. - Demonstrating the ability to make sound independent decisions. - Initiating, prioritizing, and implementing the plan of care and reviewing and revising it as needed. - Collaborating with patients/families and interdisciplinary services. - Utilizing resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient, and family. - Monitoring and documenting responses to clinical interventions. - Facilitating, coordinating, providing, and evaluating education specific to patient/family needs. - Delegating tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. - Functioning as a mentor/preceptor and demonstrating teamwork. - Identifying and communicating opportunities for improvement. - Participating in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts. - Complying with regulatory standards. - Participating in the Practice Governance model.
