TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Louisville, Kentucky, 40202! Job Title:

Shift: Mid Shift Hours per Shift: 10:00 - 22:30 Experience: Minimum
of 2 years of acute care RN experience License: Active RN license
required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic
experience Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the
care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on
safe and effective patient and family-centered care, customer
satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for
assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. The RN promotes
personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice
and education. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff
members. The RN has the responsibility to assess, develop,
implement, and evaluate the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient
and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies
educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality
care and mentoring/precepting staff. Job Responsibilities: Performs
assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as
warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates ability to make sound
independent decisions. Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the
plan of care and reviews and revises the plan as indicated.
Collaborates with patient/family and interdisciplinary services.
Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the
organization, patient, and family. Monitors and documents response
to clinical interventions. Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and
evaluates education specific to patient/family needs. Delegates
tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. Functions as a
mentor/preceptor and demonstrates teamwork. Identifies and
communicates opportunities for improvement. Participates in
quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts.
Implements practice changes; complies with regulatory standards.
Participates in the Practice Governance model. Schedule Notes: Call
requirement includes 3-5 weeknight shifts and typically 2-4 weekend
shifts in a 6-week schedule period. Required Skills & Experience:
Two years of acute care RN experience. Preferred Skills &
Experience: N/A Additional Skills: Patient assessment, independent
decision-making, care planning, collaboration, resource
utilization, clinical intervention monitoring, patient education,
task delegation, mentoring, precepting, teamwork, process
improvement, and regulatory compliance. Education: Required:
Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN). Preferred: N/A 5
