Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Springfield, OH Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Seeking an experienced and dedicated Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join our team as a Locum Physician in Springfield, OH. This vital role offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care in a dynamic hospital setting, ensuring patient well-being while gaining valuable professional experience. Key responsibilities include managing low and high-risk pregnancies, performing labor and delivery procedures, conducting gynecologic surgeries, interpreting fetal heart rate tracings and ultrasounds, and providing routine and advanced obstetric and gynecologic care. You will work closely with onsite nurses and midwives, supporting approximately 60% low-risk pregnancies and 40% high-risk cases, with a typical caseload involving various surgical procedures, C-sections, and vaginal deliveries. Required Skills: Valid MD or DO license to practice in Ohio Board-certified or Board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Proven experience in labor and delivery, gynecologic surgeries, and obstetric procedures Proficiency in ultrasound interpretation and fetal monitoring Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system Nice to Have Skills: Experience with complex obstetric cases Prior locum or hospital-based practice experience BLS and ACLS certifications Ability to perform advanced minimally invasive gynecologic procedures Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree from an accredited institution Active Ohio medical license Minimum of 2 years of OB/GYN practice experience in a hospital setting Other Requirements: Availability to start on or around February 7, 2026 Willingness to work a schedule that includes two weekends per month, with a call ratio of approximately 1:4 Travel and lodging reimbursements provided, with travel caps and per diem accommodations Credentialing process estimated to take 30-90 days This is an exceptional chance to make a meaningful impact while enjoying competitive compensation.
