Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a high-acuity critical care unit with night shifts and floating requirements. Responsibilities - Work in a 24-bed ICU with neuro, cardiac, and postsurgical patient populations - Unit utilizes advanced technologies including Alaris pumps, ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, pressors, IABP, EVD, ICP, TVP, CRRT, Impella, SWAN, and ECMO - Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:2-3, with unit overflow capacity up to 36 beds - Provider coverage includes intensivists, residents, mid-levels, resource RN, rapid response team, and round-the-clock support staff - 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required - Expected to float to other units as needed - Daily responsibilities include advanced monitoring, ventilator management, and care for critically ill patients with complex conditions - Team includes resource RNs and 24/7 provider coverage for support - Candidates must wear navy blue scrubs while on duty - First schedule determined by facility needs with self-scheduling available thereafter - Pass/fail EKG testing conducted on the first day with two attempts provided Requirements - Active OH or compact RN license required - Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience - Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required - Dysrhythmia (EKG) exam required, with study guide provided - Must live at least 50 miles from facility to be considered - ECMO experience preferred but not required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-666995.
