3x12.0 Day Shifts Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract
position. Schedule Day shifts, 3x12.0 schedule. Job Description The
Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery
of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is adhered
to. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing
Assistants, and orientees, while fostering a safe environment for
patients and staff. With a focus on patient safety, the RN
collaborates effectively within the interdisciplinary team to
achieve quality outcomes and high standards of care.
Responsibilities - Conduct nursing assessments within 8 hours of
patient admission and develop individualized care plans based on
data collected. - Identify teaching needs and goals related to
patient diagnoses through collaboration with patients, families,
and the interdisciplinary team. - Participate in weekly Team
Conferences, providing timely information regarding changes in
patient status. - Utilize the nursing process for direct patient
care, focusing on assessment, planning, implementing, and
evaluating patient care. - Initiate discharge planning and patient
teaching from the day of admission. - Ensure continuity of care by
communicating pertinent patient information with care providers. -
Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel while delegating
tasks appropriately. - Maintain a positive work environment and
contribute to team-building activities. - Manage supplies
effectively to provide cost-efficient care while ensuring quality
outcomes. - Assume charge responsibilities as needed following
orientation. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - BLS
Certification required prior to first shift. - ACLS Certification
required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY). - Minimum two years of
