Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Columbus, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,955 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Observation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency or observation setting. License: Valid registered nurse license in hand at time of submission. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - ER observation/holding or medical-surgical/telemetry experience required. - Previous charge experience preferred. - Must have experience with staffing ratios of 1:4. - Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably Epic. Description: The registered nurse will provide care in an emergency department observation unit. This role involves monitoring patients across all age groups, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia management is essential. Key skills include managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, as well as blood product administration. The ability to manage patients with renal failure and tracheostomy care is also required. Rapid response team utilization and wound care experience are important aspects of this position. Non-invasive airway management, including CPAP/BIPAP, is part of the duties. Documentation will be conducted using Epic. Candidates should have experience managing a daily census and be prepared to handle a patient ratio of 1:4. Candidates must also demonstrate strong teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Adherence to infection control standards and safety protocols is critical.
