qualified Oncology RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210! Pay Information
$2,053 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration:
13 weeks Shift: Rotating (Day/Night) Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Medical-Surgical and Oncology
nursing. License: Valid compact or state nursing license required.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Must-Have: MS
and Oncology experience. Heme Onc experience preferred. Chemo
certification is not required. Description: This position is for a
Medical-Surgical Oncology unit with a focus on Bone Marrow
Transplant patients. The nurse will be responsible for caring for
patients with various hematologic malignancies. Key patient
diagnoses include Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Acute Myeloid
Leukemia, and Multiple Myeloma, among others. The unit provides
care for patients undergoing autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic
transplants. The nurse may be scheduled for day shifts, night
shifts, or a combination based on departmental needs. Shift
assignments are reviewed every four weeks, but changes are not
guaranteed. Flexibility is essential as the facility determines the
complete schedule, which may require working weekends. The maximum
requested time off is seven days. The nurse must have skills in
telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and blood
product administration. Experience with central line management and
feeding tube care is also required. Additional preferred
certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification. The nurse will
work in a mixed acuity environment, providing care to patients with
