qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Louisville, Kentucky, 40202! Pay

Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 9:00 AM - 9:30
PM Experience: 2 years in PACU and 3 years in ICU/Critical Care
License: Must hold a valid state nursing license Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required Must-Have Skills/Experience:
3 years of critical care and PACU experience Ventilator management
experience Management of medication drips and arterial line
management Experience with lumbar drains and EVD drains Dysrhythmia
identification skills Description: The position requires a
registered nurse specializing in perianesthesia. The nurse will
work in a post-anesthesia care unit with 18 beds. Patient ratios
will be based on established guidelines and patient acuity. Initial
recovery periods will require a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
Equipment utilized includes ventilators, monitors, Alaris pumps,
and 12-lead EKG machines. The electronic medical record system in
use is Cerner - Surginet. The type of patients cared for includes
those recovering from general surgery, colorectal procedures,
endoscopic procedures, ENT surgeries, gynecologic surgeries,
neurology procedures, plastic surgeries, thoracic surgeries,
vascular surgeries, and transplants. Ideal candidates are hard
workers who are quick to learn, independent, reliable, punctual,
flexible, critical thinkers, and patient advocates. The dress code
consists of surgical scrubs provided by the facility. The
environment is dynamic and geared towards advanced heart care
