to a high-performing Respiratory Therapy department. The ideal

child-centered care.Position TitleDirector of Respiratory TherapyA
Day in the LifeAs the Director of Respiratory Therapy, you will
oversee all aspects of the Respiratory Therapy Department at the
Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center (KCC), ensuring safe,
effective, and compassionate care for medically complex children.
Youll guide department strategy, regulatory compliance, staffing,
and quality improvement initiatives, while maintaining a visible
and supportive leadership presence across all shifts.How This
Position Contributes to Our Mission Leads, mentors, and supports
Respiratory Therapists and department leadership to ensure
high-quality care across all teams Oversees daily operations and
long-term planning to support safety, infection prevention, and
performance improvement Collaborates with KCC leadership, medical
directors, and interdisciplinary teams to maintain individualized
and compliant care Supports professional development of staff and
participates in training, licensure, and regulatory readiness
Develops and monitors departmental budgets in alignment with
strategic and operational goalsDirector of Respiratory Therapy
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, with schedule
flexibility as neededSkills and Qualifications Unencumbered, active
Respiratory Therapist license in Kentucky required Registered
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC required Associate
degree in healthcare-related field required; Bachelors degree
preferred Minimum 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience
required Knowledge of CLIA moderately complex lab services
preferred Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and
communication skills Must be able to lift 3565 lbs unassisted and
respond to emergencies as needed Proficient in Microsoft Office and
electronic systems Must be able to participate in on-call
