Vertiv is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of Global Operational Strategy and Excellence in Westerville, OH to drive innovation and optimization across our global manufacturing operations. This leader will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing transformative strategies that integrate cutting-edge technologies, including AI and automation, to achieve operational excellence in a global engineering-to-order environment. This position is a critical driver of our 3-5-year operations roadmap and strategic projects, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a globally aligned operational roadmap that leverages AI, automation, and advanced technologies to optimize manufacturing and supply chain processes.
• Lead strategic planning and execution of global operations initiatives, balancing long-term vision with short-term priorities.
• Champion operational excellence by designing and implementing Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams to ensure alignment of operations strategy with business goals.
• Conduct comprehensive market research and industry analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and best practices for operational enhancement.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of strategic projects, ensuring robust planning, milestone tracking, resource allocation, and financial oversight.
• Drive data-driven decision-making by leveraging advanced analytics platforms and operations systems, such as ERP and AI-driven tools.
• Represent global operations at the executive level, providing strategic insights, trend analysis, and actionable recommendations.
• Build and foster partnerships to integrate innovative solutions into operations, ensuring sustainable growth and efficiency.
• Create and implement risk management strategies to proactively address challenges and align with strategic objectives.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field. A master's degree is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in global manufacturing operations, with a proven track record of implementing AI and automation in operations.
  • Expertise in global supply chain principles, Lean manufacturing, and operational performance optimization.
  • Strong strategic vision and the ability to navigate complex, multi-national environments with agility.
  • Proficiency in advanced data analytics and operational systems, including ERP platforms.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities, with relevant certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Management being a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Additional Details:
