Ryder, a leader in logistics and transportation, is seeking a skilled Technician Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As a pivotal part of our operations, this role focuses on maintaining and repairing diesel engines and vehicles to enhance our fleet management and supply chain solutions. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring operational efficiency and vehicle reliability, directly impacting our commitment to innovation and premier service delivery across various industries. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of diesel vehicles and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on diesel engines. Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet the safety and quality standards set by both Ryder and regulatory bodies. Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used. Collaborate with operations team to schedule maintenance and minimize vehicle downtime. Adhere to environmental laws and regulations involved with diesel repair and disposal of hazardous waste. Engage in ongoing technical training to stay current with industry technology and practices. Strong practical knowledge of diesel engines and components. Proficient in the use of diagnostic software and equipment. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Diesel Certification required. Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
