Chevrolet continues to grow, and we are in immediate need of an
experienced Automotive Service Shop Foreman in our Service
Department. We have maintained a steady workflow and are looking
for competent, hardworking technicians. NO EVENINGS OR WEEKENDS If
you are a GM Dealership Service Shop Foreman that has verified
experience running a team of 15 to 20 Technicians, we want you on
our team! We understand the great demand for experienced

Responsibilities: The Shop Foreman plans, organizes, leads, and
controls the flow of service work through the Service Department in
a professional, timely manner while ensuring quality repairs.
Foreman is responsible for the knowledge and productivity of
Technicians, workshop conditions, adherence to correct repair
procedures, diagnostic assurance, and work area housekeeping and
safety. The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform the
following: Maintains customer satisfaction with the quality of work
performed and the customer service given by department employees,
by maintaining a Customer Satisfaction Index rating at least
comparable to that of the manufacturer, zone, or branch average.
Maximizes and manages technicians' ability and efficiency.
Schedules shop work as efficiently as possible through
communication with management. Assists technicians on the job;
provides technical information; ensures use of correct tools and
equipment. Monitors technician efficiency and provides assistance
for improvement. Assists with diagnosis of difficult and unusual
malfunctions. Spot checks the repairs to assure quality and timely
completion. Evaluates performance of technicians. Checks job status
as often as necessary, but at least twice each shift. Advises the
Service Advisor when a job exceeds the initial estimate. Reviews
hard copies turned in by technicians to ensure that assigned work
has been performed and the repair order has been completed
properly. Reports to customer any changes in time promised and
notifies him/her of any additional repairs that may be required.
Prepares a list of equipment, supplies and repairs required, and
reviews with the Service Manager. Ensures that Technicians follow
warranty material disposition procedures. Ensures a safe clean
working environment. Administers all safety and housekeeping
policies and procedures. Reviews hard copies turned in by
Technicians to ensure that the assigned work has been performed and
the repair order has been completed properly. Checks every Repair
Order for 'up-sells'. Spot-checks repairs to assure quality and
timely completion. Assists Technicians on the job when needed.
Provides technical information and ensures use of correct tools and
equipment. Supervises Technicians on the job to ensure quality of
workmanship. Assists with the diagnosis of difficult and unusual
malfunctions. Also, monitors technician efficiency and provides
assistance for improvement. Evaluates the performance of Service
Technicians based on job descriptions and department objectives.
Outlines training programs for Technicians, and coordinates
In-Dealership technical training. Maintains and keeps workshop
technical information updated. Maintains information library.
Controls special tool and equipment inventory, maintenance and
repair. Maintains company owned tools and equipment. SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises 15 to 25 Technicians in the
Service Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in
accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning,
and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and
disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems. Job Requirement:Ideal candidates will have: Experience in
performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostic,
maintenance, and repair service on various vehicle makes and
models. Proven track record of achieving or over-achieving goals

customer service skills Ability to read and comprehend instructions
Ability to exercise good judgment GM Dealership: 10 years
(Required) GM Automotive Diagnostics: 10 years (Required) GM
Warranty: 10 years (Required) Valid State drivers license and good
driving record Required Education: High school diploma or
equivalent Must have technical aptitude displayed by ASE
certification Technical or trade school degree preferred
